Port Blair, Apr 29: On 28/04/2019 acting upon a credible information received through reliable resources that a person from Paschimsagar is cultivating Cannabis plant near his house; the police raiding team under the command of SI Roshan George, SHO PS Kalighat was formed on the direction and close supervision of Mr. M. Umar (DANIPS), SDPO Diglipur. The Police team of N&M Andaman district comprising of SI Roshan George, PC/828 Rahul Kr. Mourya, PC/2880 C K Mazumder, PC/1752 Rakesh Halder, PC/1678 Sheuli Mistry, HG/65 Gautam Sana & HG/157 Gopal Ch Halder had put their sincere efforts and made an intense search in the deep vegetative areas and after a long search the team succeeded in identifying the person and recovered 03 cannabis plants (having length of 01.15m, 0.85m & 0.40m) from the possession of one Mr. Subol Talukdar S/o Late Adhir Talukdar (35) yrs R/o Paschimsagar. The recovered cannabis plants were then seized under the cover of seizure memo after observing all codal formalities. The said person was arrested under NDPS act 1985 and produced before the Hon’ble court for judicial custody.
