Port Blair, Feb 27: Port Blair Municipal Council got the best digital payment innovator Award amongst 100 smart cities during a 100 days challenge.
It is pertinent to mention here that for the last 8 months we have been working in a “smart” manner to elevate Port Blair as one of the best smart cities in India.
It is worth mentioning that inspite of severe network constraints, PBMC has crossed all the barriers and stood first in the digital payment innovation awards.
Shri Suneel Anchipaka, IAS, has been working as Port Blair Municipal Council’s Secretary cum smart city, CEO. He and his team were instrumental to get this award and put the remote location of Port Blair in digital payments awards, a communication from Secretary PBMC said here today.
