Port Blair, Oct 29: As per the direction of Chief Secretary, A&N Administration, Transport Department commenced the operation of Night Bus Service between port Blair and Diglipur from 29.10.2018 for the benefit of general commuters residing especially in North & Middle Andaman. As committed through a press release dated 24.10.2018, the Night Bus Services was flagged off by the Director of Transport, Dr. Navlendra Kumar Singh on 29.10.2018 @ 1200 hrs from the Bus Terminus, Port Blair. The Bus is scheduled to return from Diglipur on 30.10.2018 @ 2300 hrs.
This will enable the passengers of North & Middle Andaman Districts to arrive at Port Blair in the morning and after completing their small assignments, they can return to their home on the same day. As there was scarcity of buses Director of Transport lauded the effort taken by Mr. Sekhar, Assistant Engineer (Workshop) and his team member as well as traffic section for working hard in making the bus suitable for the trip and successfully starting the Night Bus Services.
