Port Blair, Jan 02: On 30th and 31st December 2019, Naresh Chander Lal Ambassador of Swachh Bharat Mission A & N Islands was on a tour to Baratang Island.
During his two days stay there Mr. Lal addressed the Police department officers and staffs, Forest department officer and staffs, School Students of Govt. Sr. Sec School Oralkatcha and Doctor and staffs of PHC Baratang and urged them to maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the Baratang Island.
He also told the Police Department and Forest Department that they can play a tremendous role in relation to maintain cleanliness at Baratang island as Baratang Island is the main Gateway of Middle and North Andaman where maximum number of tourists arrive during the peak season.
SHO Baratang Mr. Devendra Pathak and Dfo Baratang Mr. Vipul Pandey IFS assured to maintain cleanliness from their side to Mr. Lal.
Principal of Govt. Sr.Sec School Oralkatcha Smti Usha Shrivastava and Dr. Annie Das of Phc Baratang also assured Mr. Lal to maintain cleanliness and sanitation at their respective school and phc.
As per details, during his visit Mr. Naresh Chander Lal was highly impressed with the cleanliness in and around GSSS Oralkatcha and lauded the efforts of the Principal, staffs and students to keep the campus clean.
