Two Days Short course on “Police Duty & Responsibilities in Lok Sabha Election”

Port Blair, Mar 12: The Police Training School, Prothrapur, A&N Islands organized two days course on “Police Duty & Responsibilities in Lok Sabha Election” from 08.03.2019 to 09.03.19 for in-service Police Personnel of A&N Police for enhancing their knowledge about “Police Duties & Responsibilities during Lok Sabha Election” under the supervision of Mr. JatinNarwal, IPS, Principal PTS. During the course Mr. Michael Raj, DANIPS VP/PTS, Mr. Sanjay Balan, Rtd. Asstt. Commissioner, Inspr. Joju, Anti-Corruption Unit, Inspr. Jagdishwar Rao, SB CID and SI DK Seal, PTS had delivered lecture like. Model Code of Conduct & Do’s & Don’ts, Representation of People Act. 1951, Duties on the day of Polling ( Polling Station, Striking Reserve and Patrolling Party, Instruction to be followed by the Police Personnel deployed in Polling Station, Pre- Poll Election Duties ( Preventive measures –special Drives during Patrolling, Public Meeting and Procession and Offences related to threat/inducement to voters. Altogether, 32 Police Personnel of A&N Police participated in the course, interacted and enriched themselves for initiating steps towards on effective implementation during election duties. Vice Principal, PTS concluded the training programme by emphasizing on the objectives of the course and its thorough implementation during their duty. The course was coordinated by SI DK Seal & SI Abdul Manaf, PTS, Prothrapur, said PAC, PHQ, A & N Police in a press release.
