Port Blair, Jan 29: Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Member of Parliament, A&N Islands has requested the Lt. Governor, A&N Islands for early release of monthly salaries of ICDS, CDPOs and Anganwadi workers which are due for payment since last 6 months and due to which, all together 1477 staff i.e. 32 Mukhya Sevikas and CDPOs, 5 Senior Investigators and 1440 Anganwadi workers and Helpers working under the Social Welfare department in Urban and Rural area of A&N Islands are facing untold financial difficulties to meet their day to day expenses of their family and dependent parents.
