Port Blair, Oct 21: On 18th October, 2019 at 3.30 pm, acting upon reliable information regarding poaching of wild animals, a team comprising of officials from Tushnabad Range Mr. Mohammed Shabir, Forester, Mr. A.Kameshwar Rao, Forest Guard, Mr. E.M.Mohammed Haneefa, Forest Guard along with Mazdoors namely Mr. S.Ramesh, Eliza, Mohammed Younus, Manik Halder and Benjamin Kullu carried out patrolling at Ferrargunj Reserved Forest area.
During the patrolling, the team nabbed Mr. Rajendran, S/o. Late Vella Kannu and seized 10.5 kg. venison from his possession. Later he was produced before the Hon’ble Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Port Blair from where he was sent to judicial custody till 31.10.2019.
The entire operation was carried out under the close supervision of Mr. Jainal Abdin, Range Officer, Tushnabad.
