Port Blair, Oct 21: It is to inform that TSG Open League –cum- Knock out Football Tournament was being held from 5th September, 2019 at Mini Stadium, Wimberlygunj. The final football tournament was played between United Sporting Club and Eliz Sporting Club, Wimberlygunj on 20/10/2019 at 3 PM. In a thrilling and excising match the United Sporting Club has defeated Eliz Sporting Club by a margin of two goals and became winner of the Match. (Goal Position 3-1).
The Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Andaman and Nicobar Islands who was the Chief Guest on the occasion has distributed Trophy to the winners along with a Cheque of Rs. 30,000/- while the best runner up has been provided Rs. 20,000/-, Player of the tournament was provided with Rs. 5,000/- , Best Goal keeper Rs.1000/-, Best Defender Rs. 2000/- Young and Promising player Rs.2000/-, and Fastest Gol of the Tournament Rs. 2000/- respectively.
The match was witnessed by Mr. Murali Krishna, DFO, South Andaman, a large number of sports lovers, general public and government officials besides the organisors and officials of the Directorate of Sports.
