Port Blair, Aug 26: Today the Chairperson, Port Blair Municipal Council Shri N.K.Udhaya Kumar along with Mr.Ashim Kumar Paul (EE Works division) Mr. Zakhi Ahmed (EE(E&M) and Mr. Karthik (Revenue Officer), PBMC visited the Mohanpura vegetable Market area wherein a major fire accident occurred a few days back. The officials of the Engineering wing were also present during the visit.
At the outset the shopkeepers appraised the Civic Chief about the fire accident and the problem being faced by them due to the accident. The members of the shopkeepers association also briefed the Civic chief about the incident. Due to fire all the electric connections of the market were badly dented. The Chairperson, PBMC directed the officials concerned to rectify the electrical works as early as possible and ensured the association members of every possible help from his end.
