Port Blair, Aug 27: Mr. Suneel Anchipaka, IAS the District Programme Coordinator (Deputy Commissioner, SA), MGNREGA, South Andaman District inaugurated the work c/o Development and Fencing of Hill View Stadium at Malapuram-02 under Gram Panchayat Mannarghat in the presence of Mr. Hari Kallikkat, IAS, SDM, South Andaman, Mr. Lakshay Singhal, IAS (P), Mr. Sunil Kumar, Tehsildar Ferrargunj, Mr. O.Bashir (Pradhan Gram Panchayat Mannarghat), MGNREGA Officials, respective ward member and the MGNREGA beneficiaries (Villagers). Total estimate cost of the above said work would be Rs 15, 57, 537/- with an estimated mandays will be approx 5811. It was a long felt demand of the youth of respective Gram Panchayat. The above said work will be benefited around 100 Households.
Further the District Programme Coordinator desired that more such work need to be taken up under MGNREGA, South Andaman District and also ensure that the works executed under MGNREGA should benefit maximum people in the locality & robust the community assets to be created. It is also requested that economic activities needs to be started with strict adherence to Covid-19 protocols.
