Port Blair, May 04: Gram Panchayat Kanyapuram organizes a cleanliness drive in the area on 04th May 2022. This drive was a part of a campaign put forward by the Directorate of RD, PRI’s & ULBs commemorating the 75th independence under the flagship banner of “Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav”.
Mr. P. Abdul Basheer, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat Kanyapuram along with other ward members and village level workers participated in the Cleanliness Drive. The enthusiastic team cleaned and collected waste from the local market area and individual houses. A large number of local residents participated in the Cleanliness Drive and extended their help to this noble cause.
Speaking to the gathering, Mr. P. Abdul Basheer, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat Kanyapuram urged the local people not to litter waste and use the trash bins provided by the panchayat. He also spoke about his long-term plans to resolve issues of handling waste in the panchayat area.
