Port Blair, Aug 12: The Chairman and the managing committee of Nicobar Chamber of Commerce and Industries (NCCI) has congratulated Mr. Lionel Nicomed of Chukchucha village for being appointed as the Chairperson of Tribal Council, Carnicobar, along with Mr. Regionald Watchful of Kimyos village as Vice Chairman, and Mr. John Levy of Mus Village as Deputy Vice Chairman of the council. The Chamber is looking forward to work with the new leadership in bringing economic prosperity to Carnicobar Island along with the entire Nicobar district. Mr. Nicomed is the successor of Mr. Aberdeen Blair who passed away earlier this year.
Apart from the Chamber, the Tribal Development Council, state unit of Akhil Bharatiya Adivasi Vikas Parishad, Nicobar Youth Association, Rani Fathima of Nancowry, and Mr. Yusoof Jadwet, patriarch of the Jadwet family has also conveyed their heartiest wishes to the new leaders of Carnicobar island.
