The Member of Parliament of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Chief Secretary of Andaman and Nicobar Administration to repair the lone DG set in Champin village which is presently witnessing total blackout.
In a letter addressed to the Chief Secretary the Member of Parliament mentioned that since the last three to four days the entire area of Champin Village of Nancowrie Island is witnessing total blackout after the lone DG Set of Champin Village suffered technical snags.
He added that there were four DG sets in Champin Village out of which one was sent to Teressa Island while another is already out of service due to technical issues. Later out of the two functional DG Sets one DG set was sent to the Kamorta Island.
He pointed out that now the lone DG set of Champin village has developed technical snags, which has resulted in a total blackout, hence he requested to repair the lone DG set in Champin village, as per demands raised by the Captain of the village.
