Port Blair, July 28: Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Member of Parliament, A&N Islands has requested Lt. Governor, A&N Islands to bring a specialist Surgeon from mainland for few days for putting A V Fistula to the existing 17 dialysis patients of GB Pant Hospital. He said that for doing dialysis for the these patients they have to put A V Fistula and the Doctor concerns in GB Pant Hospital have asked them to proceed to mainland (Chennai / Kolkata) to put Fistula. Since majority of the patients are poor and cannot effort to go to mainland without the help of ANISHI / AYUSHMAN BHARATH Scheme and moreover the prevailing condition of COVID – 19 in mainland is alarming. He requested the Lt. Governor to bring a Surgeon from mainland for putting AV Fistula for these 17 poor patients. He also further requested to consider for posting of one surgeon in the GB Pant Hospital permanently in the interest of the dialysis patients since Dialysis patients are gradually increasing day by day in these Islands.
