Port Blair, June 29: In accordance with the Law of the Roman Catholic Church, His Holiness Pope Francis has appointed Rev. Fr. Visuvasam Selvaraj as the (New) Bishop of Port Blair Roman Catholic Diocese. The formal announcement of this appointment was made today, (29th June, 2021) at 03.30 pm. The date and time of consecration and taking charge of the Bishop will be communicated later, Sanjay Meshak, President of Andaman and Nicobar Catholic Association said in a communication today.
Talking to Andaman Sheekha Daily over phone, Mr. Sanjay Meshak greeted Bishop (newly appointed) Visuvasam Selvaraj for this appointment.
