Port Blair, May 02: State Control Room, Directorate of Disaster Management, A&N Administration issued a Weather warning over the A&N Islands received from IMD Kolkata.
It is informed that on 03rd and 04th May 2022, Thunderstorm and lightning with gusty wind (speed reaching 30-40 Kmph) likely to occur at one or two places over A&N Islands.
05th May 2022, heavy rain (7-11 cm) is likely to occur with thunderstorms with lightning and gusty wind (40-50 kmph) at one or two places over A&N Islands.
06th May 2022, Heavy to Very Heavy rain (7-20cm) is very likely to occur with thunder squall (50-60 kmph) at one or two places over A&N Islands.
Due to the formation of Low Pressure area over South Andaman Sea and wind speed likely to reach 40-50 kmph gusting to 60 kmph, Fishermen are advised not to venture off Andaman sea from 05th May 2022 till further information. Those are in the deep sea are advised to return to the coast by the afternoon of 04th May 2022. No Port Warning was issued.
