Port Blair, Jan 08: 30th Road Safety Week is being observed by A & N Police from 07th Jan to 13th Jan – 2019. Various activities to increase awareness about Road Safety are being carried out by A & N Police. In this series, the lectures were organized in various educational institutions on 08/01/2019. Inspr. Arjun Prasad, Inspr. K.S. Tiwari and SI Surjit Bhattacharjee, along with the traffic staff visited schools and addressed the students. Approximately 450 students of Govt. Boys Sr. Sec. School, Rabindra Bangla Vidyalaya, Govt. Sec. School, South Point and other schools were made aware of the basic traffic rules.
A & N Police is planning to organize a Road Safety Walk on 09th January, 2019. It will be flagged off by DGP of A & N Police at 7:00 AM from Cellular Jail, as said in a press release by Superintendent of Police (Traffic), A & N Islands.
