Port Blair, Dec 03: Mr. Sanjib Kumar Mandal, Adhyaksh, Zilla Parishad, South Andaman has requested the Secretary (transport), A & N Administration for introduction of bus service exclusively for women and girls in between Port Blair and Herbertabad during morning and evening hours with limited stoppage at Collinpur, Manpur, Tushnabad, Ograbraj, Port Mout, Chouldari, Dhanikhar & Sippighat . Since women and girl students residing along the entire stretch from Herbertabad to Dhanikari are experiencing lot of difficulties to ply Port Blair and back in lieu of persistent rush and other socio anomaly, a release said here.
