Port Blair, Nov 28: The Government and Business Delegation from Indonesia consisting of 39 Members headed by Mr. Sidharto R Suryodipuro, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia are on a visit to these Islands for an Indonesia-India Business Forum and Expo. The objective of the visit is to follow up the result of “Indonesia-India Investment Forum : Chapter Aceh-Andaman & Nicobar” held between the Indonesian President and our Prime Minister of India at Aceh, Indonesia on 9th July, 2018.
The Indonesia-India Business Forum and Expo have been organized in association with the Andaman Chamber of Commerce & Industry. The Business Forum and Expo will be held at Hotel Mansha Regency, Port Blair on 29.11.2018 at 1000 hrs.
The Business Forum and Expo will identify potential cooperation fields to advance economic and development cooperation between Indonesia and India in particular Aceh and A&N Islands. This will lead to follow up to the “Statement on Shared Vision of India-Indonesia Maritime Cooperation in the Indo-Pacific” discussed by the President of the Republic of Indonesia and the Prime Minister of India in Jakarta on 29-30th May, 2018.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Andaman Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Aceh Indonesia Chamber of Commerce and Industry to promote development and bilateral economic relation by providing a platform for businessmen to meet, discuss and explore business opportunity in trade, investment transfer of technology, service and other industrial sectors will also be signing on this occasion.
