Port Blair, Nov 28: A Tipper today met with an accident due to some technical problems and tilted on the Andaman Trunk Road, nearly 18 KM inside Jirkatang Check post.
The accident caused total blockage of Andaman Trunk Road as the tilted Tripper had covered entire road area. Later a police team from Jirkatang Check post reached the area and anyhow helped all vehicles to cross the stretch, one by one, by clearing some roadside bushes and making alternative path.
This delayed the vehicles of last convoy by nearly two hours. Passengers in Diglipur Buses were worst hit as their journey time increased by further two hours.
