Port Blair, Apr 05: On 04th April 2019 at 1600 Hrs, the Director General of Police, A&N Police, Mr. Dependra Pathak, IPS along with Smt. Shalini Singh, IPS, IGP/L&O, and Mr. Manoj Kumar Meena, DANIPS, SDPO (B/Flat) visited Police Station Humfrigunj and met the police personnel to assess the election related preparedness and briefed all about the Model Code of Conduct to ensure its strict implementation. He also instructed the SHO and DySP to take prompt and appropriate action on all election related complaints.
While highlighting the importance of free elections in a healthy democracy, he exhorted all Policemen to work with fairness, neutrality and professionalism. During his visit, DGP & IGP (L&O) also inspected the Police Station and checked disaster and terror preparedness, in a press release said Superintendent of Police, South Andaman District.
