Port Blair, Sept 04: Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Member of Parliament, recognizing the services given by the teacher fraternity has decided to construct two numbers of Hostel accommodations for the teachers on the occasion of Teachers’ Day.
He is willing to construct 20 bedded self contained Hostel accommodations at Billiground, Middle Andaman and another 20 bedded self contained Hostel accommodation at Katchal Island , 10(ten) for Ladies teachers at Ground floor and 10(ten) for Gents teachers at First floor from MPLAD fund.
“I have seen the teachers, especially the lady teachers on transfer to these remote places, face too much difficulties in getting proper and safe accommodation, and hence have decided to help them by constructing two Hostel accommodations for which I have requested the Lt Governor to allot proper land at the above mentioned islands at proper site, and this will be my little contribution to the teacher fraternity”, said Member of Parliament.
He has further added that he has also requested on this day to the Lt Governor to consider commendation certificate to at least one teacher/lecturer from schools/colleges on 15th August every year of these islands for their contribution for Nation building , which will boost the morality of the teacher fraternity.
