Photographic-cum-Painting exhibition to Mark Wildlife Week Celebration

Port Blair, Oct 05: As a part of ongoing 64th Wildlife Week Celebration, the Wildlife Division, Department of Environment and Forests organized inter school quiz competition for the school students of class VIII to XII, to encourage the young generation towards protection and conservation of wild flora and fauna of the islands.
The team consisting of Sarvesh Rao and Abdul Rashif of VKV School has been declared as winner, while the team consisting of S. Sathish Kumar and Robin Emmanuel Xalxo of Nirmala Senior Secondary School has been declared first runner-up and the team consisting of M. Adira and P. Shamna Begum of Cresent Public School, Nayapuram declared as second runner-up.
While a photographic-cum-painting exhibition was inaugurated by Mr. S.K. Bhandari, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (FCA&CRZ) in presence of Mr. Rajesh, Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (A &V) at the Forest Museum, Chatham. The Open Photographic Competition was conducted on topic “Effect of Human activity on Wildlife” depicting plight of wildlife due various activity in the islands are well captured and documented. The materials will be on display for public view till 15th October, 2018.
