Port Blair, July 1: A web based land record, “e-Vasudha”, a solution of land records for Port Blair Tehsil started functional with its launching in the conference hall of District Office here today. The Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman, Shri Udit Prakash Rai launched the software in the presence of PRI members and officers of the District Administration.
Briefing about the services of e-Vasudha, the Shri. Udit Prakash Rai, Deputy Commissioner briefed the gathering that with the launch of e-Vasudha, the land record management system of South Andaman District has gone online totally. During the first phase of digitalization only 18 services were provided to the citizens through online process, but with the launch of e-Vasudha all the services at the office of the Assistant Commissioner, South Andaman, Office of the Assistant Commissioner, Settlement and District office, South Andaman have gone online.
The facilities covered under e-Vasudha at present are: –
- Mutation
- Sub-Division
- Diversion
- Mortgage
- Mortgage Release
- Record Correction
The facility of e-Vashudha has been launched on pilot basis at Port Blair Tehsil and in the later phase shall be extended to other Tehsils of South Andaman District.
The A & N Administration is destined to resolve the issue of general public through delivery of services at the door step of the Islanders. Recorded tenants of South Andaman District can now avail the facilities of e-Vasudha from their home without approaching any of the revenue office physically.
The advantages/salient features of the e-Vasudha include complete automation of mutation process, adoption of standard master codes, digital signature certificates and Aadhar enabled, automation of MIS report generation, application tracking etc.
