Middle Andaman, Nov 23: On receipt of a complaint from the AGM of RDS Company of Kadamtala Humfrey Strait Bridge, Project about breach of trust by their driver and a helper who sold 01 metric ton of 12 mm Reinforcement steel rods to somebody at Govindapur, Billiground area on 15.11.18. Accordingly an FIR under relevant section of IPC has been registered at PS Billiground against the driver and helper of RDS Project Ltd. During investigation the Police team headed by SI Ranga Raj, SHO PS Billiground swung into action and the steel rods were recovered and also the above driver, helper & the person who purchased the steel rods were arrested and produced before the court. They were sent to judicial custody. Further it was revealed that both the driver GopalRaut and helper Hemant Kumar are the permanent resident of RoutaraGodda (Dist) of Jharkhand and were engaged to transport steel rods from Mayabunder Port to Kadamtala for the construction of Humfrey Strait Bridge, while transportation, the above persons came in contact with one Radheshyam Mistry of Govindapur (Billiground) to whom they sold the same for Rs. 15,900/- where as the market value of the steel rods is about Rs.65, 000/-. The above investigation was done under the close supervision of Mr. Geroge Lalu, SDPO/Rangat.
