39th installation ceremony of Rotary Club of Port Blair done in virtual mode

Port Blair, July 12: A prominent and well-known NGO, the Rotary Club of Port Blair held its 39th Installation Ceremony virtually on Sunday, 12th of July where Outgoing President Rotarian Faisal Jadwet handed over charge to the Incoming President Rotarian Diwarkar Moorthy and his team, inclusive of Secretary Rotarian Nalin Gulecha and Treasurer Rotarian Sanjay Pandey.

During the Ceremony which was presided over by District 3291 Governor Rotarian Prabir Chaterjee, the outgoing president highlighted the activities carried out by Rotary to circumvent the challenges thrust upon society by the pandemic, especially highlighting the Dialysis Unit Project and thanking Rotarians for their assistance during his tenure.

The Incoming President, highlighted his vision for the upcoming year in line with the Rotary International President’s clarion call of ‘Serve to Change Lives’, showcasing information and highlights about the Club and requesting the support of Rotarians. Offering words of motivation, the District Governor congratulated both the outgoing and incoming team, and stressed upon augmenting the presence and public image of Rotary. He provided direction to the Team, giving focus areas on which projects should be conducted including female empowerment and thalassemia. He assured the Rotary Port Blair team to improve their abilities to serve society meaningfully.

The event was concluded by the vote of thanks, which was proposed by the Secretary.
