11,367 Service Personnel Register as Voters in Andaman & Nicobar Islands

Port Blair, Mar 27: To ensure complete support to the call of Election Commission of India-“No voter to be left behind”, 11,367 service personnel including families have applied for registration in various camps organized by Andaman Nicobar Command (ANC) in coordination with the Chief Electoral Officer, Mr. K R Meena. These personnel are in the process of receiving their Voter Identification Cards. Besides this, 1054 personnel are registered as Service Voters at their home station.

The Command has been able to conduct multiple camps for voter registration since September 2018 at Port Blair, as well as Campbell Bay, Car Nicobar, Kamorta and Diglipur. The camps helped the personnel of ANC to register as voter in Andaman and Nicobar Island under the special provisions to the Armed Forces.
