IGNOU Invites admission for PG Diploma in Animal Welfare

Port Blair, Jun 28: The School of Extension and Development Studies of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has launched a new programme – Post Graduate Diploma in Animal Welfare (PGDAW).

            The Veterinarians / Para-veterinarians in State / Central Government / RVC & Para-Military Forces; Members of CPCSEA / Institutional Animal Ethics Committees /Animal House Facilities; Faculty, Researchers, Technical Staff & PG / Ph.D. Students in Universities, Research Organizations and Veterinary Colleges; Members of State Animal Welfare Boards / SPCAs; Civil Servants, Officials and Researchers Working in Forest Departments, Zoos and Wildlife Institutes; Faculty and Research Scholars under the Zoological Survey of India and Zoology Departments; Law Professionals dealing with Animal Welfare Laws; Employees & Volunteers Working in Animal Welfare Organizations / NGOs / Gaushalas; Animal Lovers, Pet Owners & Graduates Seeking Career as Animal Welfare Professionals can take admission in the PGDAW programme.

            The one-year Post-Graduate Diploma in Animal Welfare is offered in English medium, Fees Rs. 5400/- consists of 4 courses namely Animal Welfare Science and Ethics, Animal Welfare Issues, Animal Welfare Laws, Policies and Organizations and Animal Welfare Practices, Economics and Livelihood. Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University is eligible for the programme.

            The PGDAW programme is activated at Port Blair Regional Centre. The admissions are going now for July 2022 session through online mode.
