Port Blair, Jul 04: NaiManzil NGO in association with Gram Panchayat Kanyapuram organized a one-day under 18 Knockout Football Tournament on 3rd July 2022 at Wimberlygunj.
A total of 12 teams participated in the tournament. The finalists were the Tapuy and Caddlegunj in which the Caddlegunj team lifted the winning Trophy.
Mr. P. Abdul Basheer, President, NaiManzil NGO and Pradhan, GP Kanyapuram in his speech explained the importance of sports to the youngsters and motivated the young participants to keep taking part in such sporting events and also give equal importance to academic studies.
The winning Caddlegunj team was awarded a trophy and the runners-up TapuBasti team was also awarded a prize.
