Port Blair, May 02: The District Administration, South Andaman District in its continuous efforts to contain the encroachments over Government lands carried out eviction drives at Ferrargunj Tehsil.
Encroachments done in the village of Nayashahar under Ferrargunj Tehsil were evicted and an area of 2000 sq. mtrs approximately with fencing was removed and land has been restored to government khaata with the assistance of Patwari, Patwari Assistant and CDVs in the Tehsil.
The Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman cautioned the General Public that the District Administration has zero tolerance towards encroachment on government land and to refrain from encroaching on Government land.
