Port Blair, Jul 05: Pradhan of Gram Panchayat Harinagar, Mr. ManojitHalder has requested Asst. Engineer, STS, Rangat to resume the STS bus services in the area which was suspended since the initial Covid-19 lockdown days.
In a letter addressed to Asst. Engineer, STS, Rangat, Pradhan of GP Harinagar mentioned that before the Covid-19 outbreak there were lots of STS Bus routes in the region for government staffs, School Students, Privateworkers, etc. but even today, when Covid-19 situation is totally under control the buses services have not been resumed.
The Pradhan stated that the bus services are required for Basantipur to Rangat at 05.15 am and Rangat to Mayabunder at 01.00 pm for School Students of Padvanapuram, Shivapuram, CFO Nallah, Swadeshnagar and Billiground School Students as well as General Public.
The Pradhan requested the trip at 03.45 pm from Mayabunder to Rangat, Rangat to TV Kulam via Billiground at 04.00 pm, Billiground to Baratang at 09.15 am and Nimbudera to Port Blair at 05.00 am.
