Vishal Jolly demands grant of. Two year age  relaxation for all Group-B non-gazetted posts

Port Blair, Sept 25: Mr. Vishal Jolly National Executive Member BJP & Former State President BJP – ANI demanded for granting two (2) years age relaxation for all Group-B non-gazetted posts for which the recruitment through direct recruitment would be held, especially for the posts of Junior Engineers under Andaman Public Works Department in a letter addressed to Hon’ble Lt. Governor, ANI & Chief Secretary, A & N Administration.

In his letter Mr. Jolly highlight the plight of the inspiring eligible candidates for all Group –B non-gazetted posts under the A & N Administration for which the direct recruitment is scheduled to be held within the end of 2023. There are a large number of eligible candidates who were waiting since a considerable time for the recruitment process to start have now unfortunately been debarred to participate in the process. They are certainly are likely to face immense hardship and would suffer irreparable loss & damages which cannot be compensated in future in any manner whatsoever. It may also be kept in mind that the every category of eligible candidates suffered equally due to the pandemic, but granting relaxation to merely one-category candidates is not reasonable in my view. Further he stressed that a yardstick cannot be set for only one category of posts as the pandemic has badly affected everyone equally. It is pertinent to mention here that the Government of Tripura, Meghalaya, Odisha & Rajasthan & several other states & UTs have extended this benefit to recruit all categories of posts.

He requested to grant two (2) years age relaxation for all Group-B non-gazetted posts for which the recruitment through direct recruitment would be held for next 1.5 years under targeted mission mode and positively consider the age relaxation for all the post of Junior Engineers under Andaman Public Works Department, the last date of submission of filled in applications for the direct recruitment of which is fixed on 30th of September, 2022.
