Port Blair, Oct 11: Mr. Dipankar Das, S/o Mr. Babul Chandra Das, R/o Madhupur, Diglipur developed an innovative model of Solar Pulses Thresher machine, which was presented in the Zonal level Science Exhibition, Diglipur while studying in class XIth at GSSS, Diglipur.
The model has been nominated for the Gyanodaya Science Exhibition 2014 held at Port Blair and bagged the first position. On the basis of the innovative model project, Mr. Dipankar Das has been awarded Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam IGNITE Awards – 2015 by the former President of India, Mr. Pranab Mukherjee on 30/12/2015.
The innovative model was nominated for the ASEAN – India Grassroots Innovation Competition held at Jakarta, Indonesia on 20-29th September 2018 representing India and won the second prize.
On behalf of all the Islanders Mr. Vishal Jolly, State President, BJP A & N Islands, today felicitated Mr. Dipankar Das by rewarding an amount of Ten Thousand rupees in the presence of BJP workers and Councillors.
In his address, he motivated to carve the innovative ideas available in the society. He requested the youth of the Islands and students community to concentrate in the field of Innovation and avail the help of Atal Tinkering Lab and other government sponsored schemes for developing innovation from the school level.
Mr. Vishal Jolly wished him a great success in his endeavor for his future project and bring laurel to the islands.
