Port Blair, Feb 20: The last date to apply for the vacant posts of Part Time Correspondents in Car Nicobar, Nancowrie and Rangat has been extended till March, 2.
The PTCs will be responsible for filing news reports from their area to the Regional News Unit, All India Radio, Port Blair regularly.
The applicant must be holding PG Diploma/Degree in Journalism/Mass Media or Graduate with minimum two years journalistic experience (Journalistic experience is desirable).
Knowledge of computer and word processing, possession of news gathering devices, experience of coverage for electronic media are desirable. He should be resident of the district headquarters or within a radius of 10 kms from the districts HQs for which he or she is being engaged. The age limit for engagement is 24 to 45 years.
The Government servants, employees of public sector undertakings (PSUs) or member of any political party will not be considered for engagement as PTCs.
