Port Blair, Jun 28: Andaman & Nicobar AIDS Control Society (ANACS) coordinated the Voluntary Blood Donation camp which was organized by Bharatiya Janata Party, A&N Islands on 28th June 2022 at Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Bhavan, Middle Point, Port Blair. A total of 26 units of blood were donated by voluntary donors.
The camp was organized under the leadership of Dr. M. Joy, Project Director, A & N AIDS Control Society and Director, State Blood Transfusion Council, A & N Islands.
Mr. Gaurav Gogia, in charge of Blood Donation Camp, BJP, A & N Islands organized the camp and made arrangements for conducting the camp successfully.
The technical team from Blood Bank, G.B. Pant Hospital, Port Blair and A & N AIDS Control Society ensured that the donated blood units are screened for the blood transmissible diseases. They also examined the donors for eligibility. Donors’ certificates were also distributed to the voluntary donors.
