Port Blair, Oct 03: On occasion of the 152ndbirth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, a Blood donation camp was organised at INS Utkroshon 01 Oct 2. The camp was done in collaboration with Blood Bank of GB Pant Hospital, Port Blair.
There was an extremely enthusiastic response to the noble cause. Defence personnel and civilians at Port Blair participated wholeheartedly to make the event a grand success. Sixty units of blood were collected during the event. Lecture on Myths and Facts, Do’s and Don’ts, benefits of Blood donationwas also delivered in order to emphasise the importance of Blood donation in saving lives.
