Port Blair, May 05: A new Gymnasium with modern equipment is inaugurated at Police Training School, Prothrapur on 05th May 2022 by Mr. Anil Shukla, IPS, Addl. Director General of Police and dedicated to the use of A&N Police Personnel.
The Gymnasium is set up in the Police Training School to enhance the fitness level of recruited constables as well as in-service Police personnel. It is equipped with Treadmill, Spin Bike, Elliptical Cross Trainer, Multi-gym, bars and weights, etc and set up in an air-conditioned room.
The Gymnasium was inaugurated by Mr. Anil Shukla, IPS, Addl. Director General of Police, A&N Islands in presence of Mr. S.K. Jain, IPS, Inspector General of Police (L&O); Mr. Vijay Singh, IPS, DIGP (AP); Mrs. Monika Bhardwaj, IPS, Principal, PTS; Mr. Michael Raj, Vice Principal, PTS and other senior officers of A&N Police.
Mr. Anil Shukla, IPS directed officers present at the function to encourage all police personnel to maintain a healthy lifestyle. He emphasized upon the need of Police personnel to be healthy and fit and to use this modern Gym facility for achieving the same.
He further lauded the efforts of officers and staff of the Police Training School in setting up the Gymnasium and also directed them for apt usage & maintenance of the facility.
