Port Blair, May 05: For the very first time, India will host the Biggest Chess Event in the World, the 44th FIDE Chess Olympiad 2022 which is scheduled to take place in Chennai, India from 28th July to 10th August 2022. The event will host 1500 to 1800 players from more than 150 countries.
Meanwhile, it is a matter of great pride for the Islanders that Mr. H Dinesh, International Arbiter from A&N Islands is provisionally selected to officiate in the upcoming 44th FIDE Chess Olympiad 2022 as Arbiter. He was invited to undergo training at TTDC Beach Resort Complex, Mahabalipuram, Chennai from 28th to 31st May 2022. The final selection and appointment will be done as per the requirement of Olympiad as well as satisfactorily undergoing the training.
