Port Blair, May 05: State Control Room, Directorate of Disaster Management, A&N Administration issued a Weather warning over the A&N Islands received from IMD Kolkata.
It is informed that on 06th and 7th May 2022, Heavy to Very Heavy rain (7-20cm) is very likely to occur with thundersquall (50-60 kmph) at one or two places over A&N Islands.
Due to the formation of cyclonic circulation over South Andaman Sea intensification of squally wind speed likely to reach 45 kmph.
On 8th May 2022, heavy rain (7-11 cm) is likely to occur with thunderstorms with lightning and gusty wind (40-50 kmph) at one or two places over A&N Islands.
Due to the presence of cyclonic circulation over South Andaman Sea likely to intensification of squally wind speed exceeding 45 kmph.Fishermen are advised not to venture off Andamansea till 8th May 2022. No Port Warning was issued.
