Port Blair, May 09: State Control Room, Directorate of Disaster Management, A&N Administration issued a Weather warning over the A&N Islands received from IMD Kolkata.
It is informed that on 12th May 2022, thunderstorm and lightening with gusty wind (30-40 kmph)likely to occur at one or two places over A&N Islands.
On 13th May 2022, heavy rain (7-11 cm) is likely to occur with thunderstorms with lightning and gusty wind (30-40 kmph) at one or two places over A&N Islands.
Due to the formation of cyclonic storm ‘Asani’ and its likely intensification with squally wind speed exceeding 70 kmph over West-Central and adjoining south Bay of Bengal and likely to prevail over Southeast Bay of Bengal and Andaman Sea along and off A&N Islands. Fishermen were advised not to venture into thesea till 09th May 2022.
