Port Blair, May 09: The 34th National Under-14 Chess Championship 2022 began on 09th May 2022 at Rajpat Club, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The Championship is being organized by Gujarat State Chess Association on behalf of the All India Chess Federation under the aegis of the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, GoI.
More than 300 players across India are participating in the Championship and V Yashwant, from A&N Islands, is also taking part in the championship.
The championship will be held for six days from 9th May to 14th May 2022 over 09 rounds in classical mode. The total cash prize for the championship is rupees eight lakhs which will be awarded among the top twenty players in the Boys and Girls category.
