Middle Andaman Forest Division releases compensation to the family of Shaktigarh Crocodile attack victim

Port Blair, Jul 08: As per the approval accorded by the Lt. Governor, A&N Islands the Middle Andaman Forest Division released an amount of Rs. 5,00,000/- being the compensation granted to Mrs. DollenKispotta, D/o Late ElenBarla, R/o Shaktigarh, Middle Andaman on 8th July 2022 by Mr. Satyaprakash Singh, IFS, Divisional Forest Officer, MA, Rangat.
Earlier on 22nd June 2021; Late ElenBarla had lost her life in a crocodile attack following which the Middle Andaman Forest Division had initiated and completed all, necessary formalities for releasing the compensation to the next of kin of the victim. DFO MA informed that as the body of the victim could be traced out despite doing multiple searches by the team forest and police; therefore, releasing the amount of compensation took a little more time than usual cases.
Further Mrs. DollenKispotta, D/o Late ElenBarla has expressed her sincere gratitude towards the Lt. Governor, A&N Islands, all the senior officers of the Forest Department and the Middle Andaman Forest Division for the timely settlement of the claim and release of the compensation amount.
